Youth Field _ Documentary by photography

This is a photography work of Youth Field building, former the Korean Institute for Family Planning , now managed by Seoul metropolitan city. My view as a photographer in pictures is following places inside of the building, revealing layers and history of it. The view captures and observes working young people there, environment surrounds them, system and policies closely and considers possibilities and limits. This project pursues photo documentary as diverse symptoms or a phenomena, being present but not coming to a conclusion.

가족계획연구원이었으며 현재 서울시의 공간인 청년청을 사진으로 기록했다. 사진가의 시선으로 청년청의 내부, 건물(공간)의 역사와 그 층위를 담아내고 그곳에서 활동하는 청년들과 그들을 둘러싼 환경, 시스템, 정책을 세심히 들여다보고 그 가능성 또는 한계 등을 바라본다. 현재에 머무르게 하지만 애써 결론 내리지 않으며 그 자체가 다면성을 품은 현상 또는 징후로서의 사진 기록물을 지향한다.
